Guadix is located in southern Spain, in the province of Granada. It occupies part of an elevated plateau among the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Handily located to all major routes in the area Guadix is only 35 minutes from Granada. Summers are generally very hot with sunshine levels average12 hours per day in summer and 5 hours per day in the winter months.  The mild winter days are perfect for motoring with a mixture of beautiful clear & sunny days or slightly overcast but warm days. Winter highs about 22C and nightly lows rarely much below 10C.

Granada is also well-known within Spain due to the prestigious University of Granada and, nowadays, vibrant night-life. Granada offers an enormous variety of shops and shopping districts, particularly around Granada's Old Quarter area. Close to the cathedral, which dominates this part of Granada, popular places to shop in the historic Old Quarter include the Alcaiceria Streets and the Plaza de Bib-Rambla, which contains a number of florists, fashion boutiques and quality restaurants.

The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, is in Granada. It is one of the most famous items of the Islamic historical legacy that makes Granada a hot spot among cultural and tourist cities in Spain.

Guadix was once famous for its cutlery, earthenware, hemp goods and hats. The warm mineral springs of Graena, much frequented during the summer are 6 miles west. It is typically Spanish with warm & friendly bars and restaurants.

The Guadix Circuit is located 1 mile from junction 11 on the A92-N between Granada and Baza in Southern Spain.

From Granada Airport - 1 hour Head towards Granada/Santa Fe on the A92 then follow Guadix/Murcia. Carry on past Guadix town and take the A92-N (right split) direction Baza/Murcia, continue for 10 minutes and exit at junction 11.

From Almeria Airport - 1.5 hours Follow signs to A92 direction Guadix/Granada, at Guadix town take the A92-N (right split) direction Baza/Murcia, continue for 10 minutes and exit at junction 11.

From Malaga Airport - 2 hours Head towards Malaga, after a few minutes, right exit for Granada/Antequera, follow signs to Granada, approaching Granada on A92 follow signs to Guadix/Murcia. Carry on past Guadix town and take the A92-N (right split) direction Baza/Murcia, continue for 10 minutes and exit at junction 11.
